CORR

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research online content starting in 2008 is now available via SpringerLink. If you cannot find the most current issue on the first page you come to, try clicking the publisher link. Sometimes there is a delay in providing the newest content to the in-between providers.

Here is the link to that title -- from here just click on "See Publisher's Site":

OVID statistical reports

re getting stats from OVID now that they are on SP (as reported by comments on listserv CDPLUS-L):

OVID reports that their intent is to maintain the Gateway-module until the SP-module has
the same capabilities for statistical reports. Until then, the Gateway-module is the one to use.

The new version has a longer timeout so possibly fewer users can get in

At present, the Gateway-module is reporting the reliable data. The SP module, by contrast, is reporting only partially the same activity.

Feb 2008 was a short month not only due to the number of days but also because the Gateway to SP change occurred.

Reports can be accessed directly from within the statistics program (rather than from email). They appear under "completed reports" up in the left hand corner under "welcome." Make sure that you have "all content" checked in the pull down menu under "report scope."

The SP module e-mails you a link to their server when a given report is ready. This link is to a zipped (.zip) format file, which you, in turn, unzip to view two "comma-delimited" text files.

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research

This title is available online via OVID for most of 1976 through 2007, all in pdf format now. Number 115, 1976, is in pdf while number 114, 1976, is not yet available to us in that format.

This title is known by several names and abbreviations: Clinical Orthopaedics, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, Clin Orthop, CORR, Clin Orthop Relat Res. They are all the same. In 2008 it moved to a new publisher, Springer, so the 2008 issues are not available through OVID.

Blackwell titles moving to Wiley InterScience

As of July 1, 2008, all Blackwell journal content and all Wiley online content will be hosted on Wiley InterScience. Blackwell book content is already available on this site. All Blackwell journal access rights should be transferred to enable continuous access to licensed content for all customers on Wiley InterScience. The combined service will accommodate both the existing Wiley and Blackwell licensing models. Blackwell Synergy will cease to be available as of July 1, 2008. Existing Synergy URLs and links will redirect to the content on Wiley InterScience.

Journal of Learning Disabilities

Effective January 1, 2008, Sage Publications will act as the Hammill Institute on Disabilities' representative regarding subscriptions to Journal of Learning Disabilities, formerly from Pro-Ed. Current online access is through 2002, but renewal information indicates it may expand back through 1999. However, we also have online access via one of the EBSCO full text databases back through v.8, 1975. Check the list of web-based journals under the A to Z trial.

AMA Journals - JAMA, Arch Neurology, Arch Ped & Adol Med

10-24-07:
but I changed it and still have problems.
If you have problems accessing, try using the passwords (found via library website) at the site directly:
http://jama.ama-assn.org/
http://archneur.ama-assn.org/

9-6-07
More problems accessing. EBSCO reports:
Due to the way JAMA's site is setup, when you display your End User Access Notes in a frame at the top of the publisher's site, you must have your browser set to always accept Session Cookies. The steps to do this will vary based on your internet browser type and version, and depending on your institution's network settings, you may need to contact your IT department to have this done.An alternative to the above is to have the End User Access Note display as a pop-up rather than in a frame. This can be done by selecting the option 'Open end user access note in a popup window' towards the bottom of the Notes section in Registration Tracker.

12-13-06
problems reported again from one user's desk although passwords work when I check in the library. I will activate more passwords in case they are really all being used at one time.

12-7-05
These should be working now. Password IS required, and we have 3 password accounts activated. You will see the correct ones when you reach the title (it will take me a while to get the main page updated). If it doesn't work, maybe someone is using that password so try another. The second half of the password is the same for all.

Please let me know if you still have any problems. mp

12-5-05
Some staff report they are unable to access online text at their desk for these titles from AMA. However, they are accessible in the Medical Library. I am working on discovering the problem. If you are able to reach one of these at your desk I would be interested in knowing that.

A to Z List of Online Journal Access

We are testing a new service from EBSCO that lists all our online journal access in one "A to Z" list. I am still in the process of setting it up, so it is not yet complete. For remote access contact the librarian for passwords. Although this will enable you to see the list, most titles can really only be reached from on campus.

publications from the Association of Children's Prosthetic & Orthotic Clinics

re:
ICIB Inter-Clinic Information Bulletin
JACPOC Journal of the Association of Children's Prosthetic & Orthotic Clinics
ACPOC News

All issues of all of these publications are available free online at: http://www.acpoc.org/library

Their website states
"Beginning in 1961, ACPOC published a journal called the Inter-Clinic Information Bulletin (ICIB). In 1985, the name was changed to the Journal of the Association of Children's Prosthetic & Orthotic Clinics (JACPOC). Publication of this journal ended in 1994, and was replaced with ACPOC News.

All clinical articles from these newsletters and journals dating back to 1976 have been digitized and are available here. The years prior to 1976 will be posted as they are completed."

Joint Commission journals

7-9-07: today our online access to The Source seems to have dropped out except for June 2007-
I have written them to check on it.

1-8-07: online access is now provided by another provider. I am working to get them all reactivated and then updated on the website. We have subscriptions to Environment of Care News, Joint Commission Benchmark, Perspectives, Perspectives on Patient Safety and The Source. To reach Benchmark back through 2000; to reach Environment of Care News back through 2000; to reach Perspectives back through 2000; to reach The Source back through 2003; to reach Perspectives on Patient Safety, back through 2005 hopefully today.

Behavioral Medicine

5-14-07: MetaPress activation still in progress. Still asks for password instead of accepting our IP range when I try to view an article.

5-10-07: Behavioral Medicine (formerly Journal of Human Stress), from Heldref Publications. We had an institutional subscription approximately 1996 - 2004, so we are apparently eligible to have online access to it for those issues. I am investigating getting it activated.
